Potential Research Projects
Given that most of BFP's estate will be managed under a coppice regime for the second rotation the company is therefore looking at developing research into the following areas;
Second rotation nutrition requirements and timing of fertiliser applications with emphasis on minor elements.
Coppice stocking densities on sites with <700 millimetres of available annual rainfall to maximize yield through improved piece size class and distribution.
Optimal timing for coppice thinning in relation to site types and rainfall zones.
